Goals: Provide quality customer service, accurate and understandable information. Process aid efficiently and in an accurate and timely manner. Provide precise and clear consumer information regarding financial aid. Maximize sources of governmental, institutional, and private funding for students. Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other NMSU-A offices and the community in meeting the goals of the institution.
Mission: The NMSU-Alamogordo Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship supports the University’s mission by providing access and assisting with the elimination of financial barriers for students pursuing higher education. Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
You are currently enrolled at an accredited university.
You have a 3.0 GPA (or higher).
You will submit an essay.
You can provide an unofficial transcript.
You accept these terms and conditions.
Applying for the Scholarship
To apply for the Think Einstein HR Knowledge Scholarship, an eligible applicant must submit a persuasive essay describing why they deserve to be awarded the scholarship. The applicant must fill out the form to the right of this page with their information and upload a copy of their essay explaining why they should be awarded the scholarship. Additionally, the student must upload their unofficial transcript to (a) prove their enrollment in an accredited university and (b) show a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) or higher. Deadline for Submissions
To be considered for the scholarship, student applicants must submit their information by no later than June 15, 2020. Due to the high number of submissions anticipated, forms submitted after the due date will not be considered for the scholarship.

NMSU-A Student of the month for May of 2019 Leslie Peterson
Leslie Peterson enrolled at NMSU-A in the fall of 2017 and has maintained an average GPA of 3.7. She was accepted into the School of Nursing program for fall 2019, and will earn her BSN. Even though she has been busy with school work she has participated in Student Government, is the president and a senator of the Social Science Club, she is also the represent Social Science Club at the Student Government meetings. She is the secretary of the Alpha Nu Beta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and attended the New Mexico PTK regional conference.
When not at school, Leslie is busy with her 5 year-old-son and has assisted in coaching under 6 soccer teams for both fall 2018 and spring 2019 seasons. She has also assisted with activities at her son's preschool, i.e. crossing guard, lunch time assistant, set up/tear down of events. She has a second son who is 10 yrs old and lives with his dad in Washington state.
Leslie is a proud Army Veteran who served as a combat medic for the US Army active service component for 12 years and 9 months, with 1 twelve month deployment to Baghdad, Iraq. She was honorably discharged in February 2016 at the rank of Sergeant.
Her motivation is to complete school and show both her children that no matter what age you are and no matter what life challenges you may have, completing a college degree is possible. Leslie hopes to be hired after graduation through the federal system at an active duty military medical treatment facility or at a Veteran Affairs medical treatment facility in the state of Washington where her oldest son resides.

If not, please remember that Fall classes begin on August 21 and you must have applied for admission at least 2 weeks before classes begin. Getting transcripts can take time so you want to make sure that there are no issues. If you are coming back to NMSU-A after taking a break, please give us a call well before classes begin to make sure that the paperwork is good to go. The Digital Marketing Scholarship Program in the amount of $1000 each semester is offered to all university students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher with at least 1 curriculum year under their belt.

The Find Answering Service Connectivity Scholarship
Every day the team at Find Answering Service helps people from all over the United States connect. In the work that we do, we can see how important being able to communicate well with one another is.
In such a growing, globalized world, effective communication is paramount. In the United States alone, 350 different languages are spoken and we are connecting in many different ways thanks to modern technology.
Why is connectivity so important today? How will communication technology evolve in the future? What technology or types of communication do you use to connect with others? Answering these questions in a well written and thought-out essay can win a deserving undergraduate student a $1,000 scholarship.
All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship.
Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA.
Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
Students attending online universities are welcome to apply.
