What is going on with the Online Banking and Bill Pay? I keep checking my status and accounts and have no updates? It shows bills were paid today but NO updates on balances or account updates. It is getting slower and slower to see TRUE ACCOUNT INFORMATION! Are you working on a new program or what?
Both Roswell locations were down today while we were trying to get cash to attend the Fair. We had to get money from another bank and be charged their fees plus whatever we will be charged by OFCU
Best customer service ever
Why do mobile deposit take so long
I am writing a formal letter of complaint to the board at Otero Federal Credit Union. The issues are spending limits on debit cards which happened to me last night...trying to buy a split AC/heater for the house online. Getting stranded and sleeping in Walmart parking lot in Texas with a broken trailer axle, needing my available funds to have an axle built and buy tires.... Playing their game and calling in my travel dates so my card wouldn't get cut off and having it still cut off on my way home from my trip at a gas station. Also having to get a code text to me to look in my account on a friends home computer. There is no cell service in those mountains, and I would have to have made a 30 mile round trip to get the text and it would expire before I could get back to the computer... Now they shower us with advertisements online when we open our accounts. The new thing is changing your passwords periodically. I have had the same password for over 20 years on this account and now another problem. I came to this credit union when other banks wouldn't work with me as an active duty soldier whose family has had the same address here since the 1930s. They were good to me then and I have been loyal... Now things are becoming bureaucratic... I dont care about the so called security measures. They didn't work when a worker at a notable vendor stole my card information and around $750 in purchases occurred. I prayed and worked with those from whom the purchase was made and recovered most of the money. The bank handled the rest. So if you are having problems with Otero Federal Credit Union and want things to go back to the simpler way that things were done, I can either include your issues in a letter and do a petition type thing, or give you the address for the board for your own letter. If they dont straighten up I am going to do something else bank wise. Either PM me or reply to the post... Matt Wade
Otero Federal Credit Union is not a bank you want to use if you are a State Employee and are getting ready to retire. I recently went to the bank on 10th street and talked to Regina Colbert Bank President so that she could sign off on my ERB Direct Deposit so that I could have my checks be direct deposited there. Apparently they are the only bank in New Mexico that will not sign off on theses forms because the statement that is at the bottom of the form which states " In accordance with the authorization of the depositor, we hereby agree to credit and debit to depositior's account, benefit payments and corrections made by the New Mexico Educational Retirement Board (NMERB) without depositor's endorsement. We further agree to repay and refund to NMERB on demand, the total amount of any such payments received and deposited to the account of the depositor, the due date which occurs subsequent to the death of the depositor, and agree to accept the certification of the NMERB as sufficient evidence of the date of death of the depositor." I thought all Banks have some type of Insurance that should protect them if something happens that the money is not there. Anyway I think they should rethink this since NMSU-A employees are all State Employees and will eventually retire at some point in their life. Board Members need to look into this other wise Otero Federal Credit Union will be losing a lot of customers. It is sad that I have been with this Bank for a number of years and now that I'm going to retire I have to find another bank so that my checks get deposited from NMERB.

In April 2020, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System issued an amendment to Regulation D. As defined in the regulation, the six-per-month limit on transfers from savings deposits has been removed. This will allow members to make an unlimited number of transfers and withdrawals from their savings deposits, providing members easier access to their savings funds.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Castro for being awarded April's Employee of the Month! Keep up the great work! ✨
