[05/02/18]   The Hill writes in a 5-1 article:
About 4 million Americans lost health insurance in the last two years, according to a new survey from the Commonwealth Fund, which attributed the decline to actions taken by the Trump administration.
The uninsured rate was up significantly compared with 2016 among adults with an individual income of about $30,000 and a family income of about $61,000.

Then blames the current administration for the rise in uninsured. Those of us in the business know the rise in uninsured is DIRECTLY the result of the catastrophic ACA and the rapid rise in premiums as a result.

Proven many times over many years, the exchange method of offering coverage is doomed to fail as rising premiums cause healthy individuals to drop coverage for more affordable options or go uninsured leaving the high claimants in the exchange and driving up costs. Doubt supports of government insurance will ever agree.

5 Ways the New ACA Rules Will Change Health Insurance Sales

These changes will continue to aggravate an American Public growing increasingly hostile and force the exact result we sent Republicans to congress to avoid - Universal (not good) Health Insurance poorly administered by the Government. Under these regulations, individuals will find they cannot purchase health insurance when they need it and the number of "uninsured" will rise. Oh, and trained, qualified and certified insurance agents to help them are decreasing in number. The regulations might not add much stability to your work day.

Why Do Health Costs Keep Rising? These People Know

Unbelievable, insurers are requesting double digit increases but Obama says not to worry the subsidies will keep the prices low:
Most successful middle income individuals and families do not get a subsidy and CANNOT affordable the prices. Where are you and why are you not screaming to your congressman? Actuaries normally toil far from the limelight, but their calculations are feeding a roaring national debate over insurance premiums and the Affordable Care Act.

Administration further moves to eliminate personal individual health insurance.

The article says it all, goodbye individual choice on health insurance. A quick background.   Under the Affordable (?) Care Act an individual can enroll in a qualified Obamacare approved policy during open enrollment.   For 2017 this begins Nov 1, 2016 and ends Jan 31,

Total health care costs for typical family will top $25,000 this year

Family out of pocket costs continue to rise. Families needing help with high deductibles and coinsurance look for solutions and the supplemental industry can help.

Rise of high-deductible plans has hospitals asking patients who can to pay before they get care

Hospitals Asking Patients with High Deductible Plans to pay up front - And We Are Surprised?? This can be solved for employers with a Hospital Income Policy from Colonial Life or a GAP plan for an individual. - give us a call, 877-424-3026 or check my website The rise of high-deductible health insurance is challenging providers across the country to change the way they prepare for and collect payments from people getting hit with large out-of-pocket costs for care. And it's not only in government-sponsored or promoted insurance programs.

Court ruling threatens $5 billion in PPACA insurer subsidy payments

Likely to be overturned, most exchange policyholders would drop coverage is their subsidy ceased. A recent report suggests the average cost of an Obamacare policy in 2017 would be $504 per month. U.S. District Court Judge Rosemary Collyer has stayed the effect of the ruling while it's under appeal.

National Health Care is coming. I am taking bets.    If a Democrat is elected to the Whitehouse in January Single Payer National Healthcare {NHC} will be installed by 2017.    If a Republican NHC will be your health insurance

Cancer patients snagged in health law's tangled paperwork

Article by Associated Press. Obamacare insureds getting big surprises. I represent Colonial Life and we have one of the best employee voluntary Cancer plans in the US.

How might 'Berniecare' work?

Want your healthcare handled by the government and only by the government? Wonder why individuals needing quality care for serious illnesses are coming to the US for treatment? Or would you prefer $10 per gallon gas and double the taxes on the population?
One candidate's plan to FORCE everyone into another government program. He wants to eliminate the exchange system. And Medicare. And parts of HIPAA and ERISA.

5 reasons why UnitedHealth wants to quit PPACA

Colorado to vote on single payer health care in 2016

A look a the future potential for the entire US. If this passes Colorado residents can expect MUCH higher taxes. Note the 10% across the board, the numbers mentioned are "Bi-Weekly" costs. Activists in the Centennial State have gotten more than the 100,000 signatures needed to put an initiative on the ballot next year to establish a single-payer universal health care system in the state.

[11/06/15]   ACA’s Individual Mandate Penalty “Sharply Increases” In 2016.
National Journal (11/6, Subscription Publication) reports that the ACA’s penalty for going without health coverage “sharply increases” in 2016 to “$695 per adult and $347.50 per child, or 2.5 percent of a household’s income—whichever is higher.” Whether it spurs people to get covered, however, “depends on whether or not uninsured Americans, or those thinking about leaving the exchanges, know about the individual mandate and its steep fee increase.” The article notes a Kaiser Family Foundation poll released last week “showed that only 15 percent of uninsured Americans knew when open enrollment was, compared to just 17 percent of the general public.” Additionally, “for some it still might be cheaper to pay the fee” than sign up for coverage.

PPACA enrollees may face new plans or hefty increases | BenefitsPro

No surprise to any "Professional" in the insurance industry, prices are going much higher in 2015 and low wage citizens will be hurt. Or they can change to much higher deductibles and again but penalized by this administration. The low cost plans in 2014 may no longer be low cost plans in 2015, which means consumers will have a big choice to make.

PPACA – Once again Washington is confusing the market. | Aden Insurance Consulting

More verification this administration has no clue on business. Truly unbelievable. The AP (2/7, Murphy) was the first to report Thursday that the Obama Administration “is considering an extension of the president’s decision to let people keep their individual insurance policies” through 2014, “even if they are not compliant” with the Affordable Care Act.    Avalere Health CEO Dan…

Worries Mount About Enrolling Consumers In Federally Run Insurance Exchanges

Besides not understanding how to manage a multiple choice exchange, there is no money to help individuals make selections nor even to inform them of the availability. When President Lyndon B. Johnson wanted to enroll seniors for the new Medicare program he had just signed into law, the story goes that his administration sent out workers on dog sleds to reach people in the remote Alaskan tundra.

Federal HIX delays SHOP choice until 2015 | Government Health IT

And now we know - Washington was indeed clueless about how to administer PPACA. So the answer is to scream - HALT - we will not be ready until 2015. In the first (and perhaps only) delay of health insurance exchange implementation, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is pushing back by one year the creation of the small business employee choice program in the federal HIX.

News Flash - Feds unable to manage their own Uninsured Program

Big surprise, the Government's own uninsured program failed. And they have now SHUT IT DOWN leaving the uninsured with no option until PPACA takes affect in 2014. Do we get it yet?? With promises to all, Washington introduced the Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan in late 2010 to cover the uninsured. With the draconian requirement for individuals to be completely uninsura...

And it just keeps getting stranger – now contraceptive coverage cost must be “shared” by everyone. |

And more government burden. One component of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that has been hotly contested is the provision of birth control expenses and its impact on religious-affiliated groups opposed to contraception. New proposed rules and a fact sheet have been issued that are apparently an effort to quell...

And Still Washington cannot administer their own plan | Aden Insurance Consulting

Craziness just keeps coming. This is a recent notice sent by Kaiser Foundation showing how inept Washington can be attempting to manage “Government Heatlh Care”. As we continue toward the magic 2014, more and more required notices and programs are being “Pushed out” or delayed. I cannot begin to imagine how badly a “Nati...

Obamacare Guarantees Higher Health Insurance Premiums -- $3,000+ Higher - Forbes

In case you do not receive Forbes. Not a big surprise to ANYONE in the insurance business. Washington however is clueless - except the White House of course. Increasing costs will doom the exchanges and then the WH can take over ALL our health care. Health insurance costs are going up. And for that, you can thank Obamacare.

The Real Cost of PPACA for Employees? | Aden Insurance Consulting

More information just keeps coming on the REAL COST of PPACA. Citizens who voted for the President are soon to get a very rude awakening. More information is becoming available concerning the real cost of PPACA to employers and more importantly employees. The Galen Group once again clearly identifies those possible costs.

Reform’s insurance tax will hit consumers hard | BenefitsPro

As Washington argues about increasing taxes on the rich, the significant tax increases on Employers as a result of PPACA are being ignored. $63 for each and every covered employee, .09% increase in Medicare for those earning over $200,000 single/$250,000 joint, and the 2.3% increase in taxes on "Medical Devices" which include many items not normally considered such as SURGICAL GLOVES!! This tax alone will add millions to the cost of health care regardless of the type the patient receives.
Well, we elected him and asked for this - $10 gas anyone? There goes the affordable part of health reform. The insurance industry is warning a new tax in in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will cost consumers thousands of dollars because of rising premiums.

[12/03/12]   Goodness Folks, we keep talking about taxing the "rich" and somewhere the discussion got lost that this tax hits small business hard!! Most "middle class" small business owners GROSS over $250K but net way less after salaries and overhead. This "Rich" tax will directly hit their net take home, businesses will close, employees will lose jobs and "congrats" Obama the recession is back and deeper.
Had lunch with a lovely young lady today who stated exactly my feelings - we are becoming a nation of sheep (or cattle your choice) off to the slaughter.

PPACA - HCR is on the way!

U.S. to Sponsor Health Insurance Plans Nationwide

And we are surprised?? From the beginning PPACA has always had the objective of moving the country to a Government Run National Health Care service, no private insurance involved. If anyone is surprised by this move, shame on you! The plans, added to the Obama health law as a substitute for a pure government-run health insurance program, will be offered in every state.
