150-years ago on May 10th, the Golden Spike was driven into the tracks, completing the 1st US Transcontinental Railroad. Before the transcontinental railroad was completed, travel over land by stagecoach cost $1,000, and took five or six months. The transcontinental railroad would make it possible to complete the trip in five days for $150 for a first-class sleeper. If you fast forward to today, one can fly from New York to LA in about 6-hours for about $250. What do you think is next?

150-years ago the Post Office Department issued a set of ten stamps that broke from conventional.
