[01/21/20]   In the midst of the holiday season, on December 20, 2019, the SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act was signed into law. This act makes significant changes to employer-sponsored retirement plans and is the most comprehensive retirement savings bill since the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

With portions of the SECURE Act effective as of January 1, 2020, you may have questions about how this impacts you as a retirement plan sponsor. To help, attached is an informational flyer that details some of the key provisions of the law.

The I.R.S. has announced higher retirement plan contribution limits for 2019. Forbes notes the changes @ Stash up to $6,000 in your IRA and $19,000 in your 401(k) in 2019—and $7,000 more if you’re 50-plus.

Great News! The IRA contribution limit is rising from $5500 per year to $6000 per year starting in 2019. For those 50 and over, the catch-up limit is still $1000 for a total of $7000 per/year.
